Job Title: Program-Level Software Systems Engineer
Labor Location: Huntsville, AL
Class: Full Time

Position Description: This is a Software Systems Engineer position for the RepBox MASC-F program supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The candidate in this role will work with both contractors and government civilians at the Lockheed Martin Redstone Gateway facility. Tasks include developing system level features that describe sensor representative behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to provide guidance for software implementation for the developer team on-site. Tasks also include leading a team of multi-contractor radar Subject Matter Experts (SME) and feature elaboration for the software team.
Basic Qualifications:

The candidate must be a US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.  A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field is required.  Candidate should have 7 or more years of system engineering experience.

The candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas:  MDA Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, Formal Qualification Testing(FQT), requirements decomposition, or software tools, and programming languages including python and C++.
The candidate needs to have a record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment. The candidate must be comfortable working as a team member fast-paced software development environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure that software is capable of meeting the needs of the intended users. The system engineer must be highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles. The candidate must have good communication skills and ability lead a team of SMEs to accomplish tasking, algorithm development, certification of behavioral models, requirements verification, and validation anchored to test data.

Other Qualifications: System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in the MDA GMD program. Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe© Agile experience are a plus.

Security Requirements: Candidate must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US Secret security clearance.
