Join our team as a Program Facility Coordinator – McMillen Park and help deliver fun, safe, and engaging programs for the community.City of Fort Wayne – Parks & RecreationPosition: Program Facility Coordinator – McMillen Park Pay: $23.1751 per hour Schedule: 40 hours per week, flexible schedule with some weekends and holidaysWhat You'll Do:Researches, creates, implements, and plans day to day programs for the youth and adults;Plans and implements assigned grant sponsored programs;Plans and implements specialized classes, activities, programs;Assists in hiring, training, and supervising staff;Coordinate a variety of programs including, but not limited to youth afterschool programs, summer youth programs, and adult programs.Completes daily, weekly, or monthly reporting as requested by the supervisor;Assists with facility set up and/or clean up and facility security;Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervise seasonal/part-time employees, instructors, and volunteersQualifications:Minimum of two years of successful experience teaching/leading youth with progressive responsibility in a recreational or educational setting;Specialized skills of recreation, education, or youth works as it relates to planning and organizing youth programs and activities;Basic knowledge of standard principles, methods and practices of recreation program/activity planning and implementation;Required Certifications:Valid Indiana Driver's License First Aid and CPR CertificationServSafe CertificationPhysical Demands:Regular talking and hearing, frequent sitting and hand useOccasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawlingFrequently lift/move up to 10 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbsClose, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusWork Environment:Frequent exposure to outside weatherNoise level usually loudEqual Opportunity EmployerEmployment is contingent upon the successful completion of applicable drug screening, physical examination, and background checks.
