The Program Director provides strategic, academic, and administrative oversight and leadership for the Community and Trauma Counseling (CTC) program. The Program Director collaborates closely with the Department Chair to advance the program's mission, ensure academic excellence, support student success, and promote continuous improvement in teaching, scholarship, clinical training, and service.
The Program Director is responsible for the overall administration, quality, and growth of the program, including curriculum oversight, faculty leadership and development, student enrollment, retention, and success initiatives, clinical educator coordination, assessment, accreditation activities, strategic planning, and resource management. The Director ensures ongoing alignment of program policies, curriculum, and outcomes with professional counseling standards and accreditation requirements.
The Program Director serves as the primary leader and advocate for the program, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, student-centered culture that supports innovation, academic excellence, and engagement among faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners. The Director reports directly to the Department Chair and works collaboratively with departmental, college, and university leadership to achieve institutional goals and strategic priorities.
