Description Benefits Position Summary Seeking a passionate and dynamic Radiologic Technology Program Director to build a new Radiologic Technology program. This full-time faculty position is tasked with the leadership and oversight for programs that lead to a variety of careers in the radiological sciences. This position reports to the VP of Allied Health Sciences.
This position will report to all Blue Ridge CTC locations and clinical sites as needed to meet the needs of the position. This position will include managing a virtual office as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities Director Responsibilities Support students seeking Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Technology, leading to certification and/or transfer. Support curriculum development and revisions for the AAS degree in Radiologic Technology; Prepare the program for JCERT accreditation. Manage the JCERT accreditation process. Work closely with WV Board of Radiology to ensure full compliance and field updates. Develop continuing education opportunities leading to other medical imaging certifications (i.e. CT, MRI, etc). Partner with Marketing team to actively recruit students for these degrees and certificates. Advise students in these programs promoting retention and on-time completion. Develop and maintain transfer advising materials. Annually update all annual program assessment plans for the AAS in Radiologic Technology. Demonstrate continuous improvement to meet program needs. May oversee the work of FT & PT faculty or students, as needed. Evaluate faculty performance, as needed. Support and oversee the overall development of the faculty. Coordinate program advisory meetings annually with stakeholders to support curriculum and instruction and assist with program review. Develop partnerships with regional hospitals. Coordinate externship sites for student clinical experiences. Provides administrative oversight of special projects or programs, as assigned.
Faculty Responsibilities Teach Community & Technical college students in healthcare related courses and engage with students to help them learn. Will include a teaching load of up to 30 credits per academic year. Serves as an instructor in didactic and lab classes, and clinical instruction. Review/refine a class syllabus to include instructor-specific contact information and course policies, ensuring that the syllabus meets department and college standards. Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments. Assess students progress based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations. Grade assigned papers, quizzes, and exams. Advise students on course and program progression. Report student learning outcomes, class reviews, and analyze student data. Collaborate with colleagues on course curriculum. Serve on Blue Ridge CTC faculty committees as assigned/requested. Stay updated on innovations and changes within their courses/field. Attend Blue Ridge CTC events including but not limited to Open Houses, orientations, graduation, etc. May require occasional evenings and weekends. Attend training specific to the career and education field. Maintain weekly office hours. Additional duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Education, Certification, and Licensure Master's Degree is required American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in the Radiography discipline West Virginia Board of Radiology active and valid radiologic license
Experience Three (3) years full-time experience in the Radiography discipline Two (2) years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively. Ability to utilize technology. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. Must be in good standing with all area hospitals.
Physical/Work Demands Must be able to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or ten to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects. All faculty positions are lecturer rank with temporary classification at entry. Position open until filled.

SHORT-TERM DISABILITY INCOME PLAN The weekly Short-Term Disability (STD) benefit is 70% of your pre-disability, reduced by deductible income. There is a 30-day benefit waiting period. The maximum weekly benefits is $750. The minimum benefit is $15.

THE STANDARD Long Term Disability-- this policy has a benefit amount of 60% of your Basic Monthly Earnings to a $6,000 maximum and Standard will continue to make payments to the employees annuity, up to the set amount. Coverage also provides participant with 24 hour access to counseling services through unlimited telephone and internet access as well as up to 3 face to face counseling sessions.
BASIC RETIREMENT The State of WV requires participation in a tax-sheltered 401(a) Defined Contribution Plan.
