Summary:
Oversee the daily operational and social services management of our Families with Children shelter site. This position will ensure the delivery of quality services to all clients on a 24-hour basis as per the approved DHS policies, procedures, and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Vetting, training, oversight of daily operations and contract compliance or reporting for shelter
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership to vet, credential, equip/supply, and conduct training for all shelter personnel in providing exceptional shelter support that is culturally competent for all guests
- Flexible hours are required with the need for 24/7 emergency availability rotating with team members
- Improve programs and processes to build systems of finding permanent housing
- Maintain standards of HIPAA compliance with all client communications
- Maintain a high level of industry knowledge and keep us up to date with changes required/recommended in the shelter operations.
- Ensure that charts and recording systems meet proper service control and standards, including DHS, OTDA and other regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Master's Degree, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Human Service or related field with DHS experience for Tier 2 and migrant site experiences
Minimum five years' experience in supervision or management
- Minimum five years' experience in a residential agency or DHS licensed facility.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with all populations served with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity.
