mPower is looking for a well-rounded Program Director to join our team.The Program Director will provide scientific leadership and program oversight for a portfolio of research focused on Parkinson's disease, movement disorders, and neurodegenerative disorders. The incumbent leads strategic initiatives, fosters collaborations, and advances research efforts to accelerate scientific discovery, biomarker development, and therapeutic innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of research projects focused on Parkinson's disease, movement disorders, and related neurodegenerative conditions.
- Provide scientific leadership to implement strategic initiatives supporting Parkinson's disease research, epidemiology, patient engagement, and therapeutic development.
- Develop and lead high-profile initiatives involving government agencies, academic institutions, industry partners, nonprofit organizations, and patient advocacy groups.
- Establish and manage public-private partnerships and collaborative research programs to advance biomarker discovery, clinical research, and new treatments.
- Oversee major research resources, including biorepositories, biomarker programs, and research data platforms, ensuring effective governance and scientific oversight.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary collaborations to promote data sharing, resource integration, and research innovation.
- Evaluate scientific progress, identify emerging research opportunities, and recommend program priorities and funding strategies.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at scientific meetings, advisory groups, and collaborative forums.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent) in neuroscience, neurology, or a related biomedical field.
- Demonstrated expertise in Parkinson's disease, movement disorders, neurodegeneration, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience managing scientific research programs or research portfolios.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary collaborations and strategic initiatives.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Requirement:
- Experience developing public-private partnerships and managing multi-institutional research collaborations.
- Experience overseeing research infrastructure, biorepositories, data-sharing initiatives, or large collaborative programs.
- Familiarity with clinical research, biomarker development, and translational science.
- Experience developing strategic plans, evaluating scientific programs, and communicating research priorities to diverse audiences.
$160,000 - $190,000 a year
