Program Supervisor - AIM
The Program Director - AIM is responsible for leadership and day-to-day operations of the AIM Program in Brooklyn's East New York neighborhood. AIM is an intensive mentoring and advocacy program serving adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18 who are on juvenile probation or facing institutional placement as a result of a Family Court disposition.

Hours: 35 Hours/Week; Exempt
Salary: $73,000 - $83,000
Additional Compensation: $1,000 sign-on bonus paid in first payroll and $2,000 retention bonus paid out after first year of employment
Major Duties:
Supervise implementation of AIM Program consistent with contractual mandates, standards and procedures set by GSS and Department of Probation (DOP)
Create opportunities for participants to maximize their potential through engaging programming, high expectations, and quality services
Ensure program utilization meets contractual obligations
Recruit, screen and hire culturally appropriate advocate/mentors
Ensure that all advocate/mentors receive required SBC training, as well as GSS required trainings
Coordinate DOP technical assistance
Conduct assessment and create Individualized Service Plans in conjunction with advocate/mentors, mentees and family members
Provide supervision and coaching to advocate/ mentors; review all case notes
Lead case conferences & staff meetings
Develop on-call schedule
Serve as liaison with DOP, having at minimum weekly contact with Probation Officers
Implement and integrate the principles and procedures of Solution Based Casework: assessment, family and individual level outcomes, action plans and documentation and celebration.
Facilitate case consultation and offer support and guidance to ensure staff are adhering to the tenets of SBC.
Integrate the practices of SBC into every supervisory session
Participate in continued SBC training, coaching and the SBC certification process.
Oversee community outreach
Ensure proper staff usage of internal and external databases
Monitor and manage program budget
Develop, track and report program milestones, outputs and outcomes and ensure timely reporting to DOP
Develop and implement processes that ensure integration of participant feedback in program planning
Participate in agency work groups and committees.
Represent Good Shepherd Services at relevant external meetings.
Complete and provide narrative and statistical reports to Good Shepherd administrative departments and public funders as needed.
Qualifications:
LMSW Required.
5 years of Supervisory Experience required.
Experience and comfort working with court-involved young adults
Familiarity with East New York Community and the challenges of young adults living there
Solid group work skills, familiarity with cognitive-behavioral interventions, and evidence-based practice
Ability to work evenings and some weekends
Proficiency using word processing, spreadsheet and databases
Must have a commitment to work from a strength based and/or youth development perspective
