Job Description Summary:

Academic Commons is the centralized learning assistance center within GW Libraries and Academic Innovation (GWLAI). Located at the entrance of Gelman Library, Academic Commons supports students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the GW community in their learning. Academic Commons offers an array of programming and services to support the GW community.
The Program Coordinator will oversee the Ask Us Desk and Create Digital Studio service desks in GWLAI. Additionally, they will provide general administrative support to and on behalf of Academic Commons. This role will serve as a point of contact for Academic Commons, answer typical program questions, and assist the program staff with a variety of functional and administrative support. Support could include answering routine and complex inquiries, updating websites, planning and executing events, scheduling rooms, processing payroll, data entry, preparing reports, and similar duties. Often this role is tasked with outreach to other GW stakeholders in order to assist in maintaining standard operational efficiencies. Typical duties are often administrative in nature including tasks that are routine, and under the general supervision of senior personnel within the department.
Responsibilities include:
The position is based in GW's Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, D.C. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
