Description
Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to support the coordination of pickleball programming, including leagues, tournaments, and special events. This position works closely with the Pickleball Senior Program Assistant and Operations Supervisor at Middle Creek to assist with program logistics, record management, participant communications, and administrative support for all pickleball programs.
Key responsibilities include maintaining program records, assisting with scheduling and event logistics, supporting registration processes, and coordinating information among staff, instructors, and participants. This role helps ensure the smooth and efficient operation of pickleball programs by managing administrative tasks, facilitating clear communication, and ensuring instructors have the supplies and equipment necessary to deliver high-quality programs and events.
Flexible availability including some evenings is required depending on program schedules.
This is a part-time, non-benefited, year-round position, up to 20 hours a week, with a maximum of 999 hours per year.

Physical Requirements
Work in this class requires an employee to be able to hear and talk in order to communicate with the public and with groups under instruction. An employee must be able to climb, walk unassisted and move about freely in order to interact with patrons. Visual acuity is needed to read typewritten and handwritten materials and to view a computer terminal. Work in this class is primarily clerical and may require sitting and use of a computer for extended time periods.
Conditions of Employment
Requires possession of a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
Requires drug testing and background check (which may include criminal history check, SBI fingerprinting, motor vehicle records check, education verification and credit history review) and satisfactory reference checks prior to employment.
