Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Program Assistant to join our Behavioral Health and ReentryServices team. In this essential front-line role, you'll help ensure the smooth, safe, and respectful operation of our residential facilities—supporting clients as they rebuild their lives and transition toward greater independence.
This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who values structure, has a calm and professional presence, and is motivated by meaningful, mission-driven work.
What You'll Do:
Conduct hourly facility rounds, monitor census, and ensure safety compliance
Coordinate new client orientation, pass procedures, and curfew tracking
Perform client room and facility inspections, search procedures, and safety checks
Schedule and log medical appointments and meals; notify appropriate staff
Monitor client medication procedures and record accordingly
Document incidents, disciplinary actions, and maintain daily operational logs
Support case management and ensure adherence to operational and security procedures
Greet and screen visitors, manage sign-ins, and operate security equipment
Conduct drug and alcohol screenings as needed and report findings
Assist with clerical tasks and support special programming and training requirements
What You Need:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in human services preferred but not required
Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm, professional, and organized
Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency driving standards
Ability to pass required background clearance
Bilingual fluency is a plus
