DESCRIPTION:
Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced educational environment? The Advanced Manufacturing Skills Center (AMSC) and Washington Aerospace Training and Research Center (WATR)¿operated by Edmonds College at Paine Field in Everett¿are looking for a bright, adaptable Program Assistant to be the welcoming front-line representative for our campus and program. In this role, you will be the command center of our front desk. Because our short-term training programs in aerospace, construction, and manufacturing are constantly evolving to meet industry needs, we need someone who learns quickly, easily adapts to changes, and is highly skilled with computers to manage records and schedules. Most importantly, you must have a knack for breaking down complicated information like multi-step enrollment processes, tuition tracking, or technical program details so that it is simple and clear for our students, instructors, and industry partners.
This is a classified position reporting to the Admin Services Manager.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position works on-site at the AMSC. The ability to sit at a desk/computer station, bend, stoop, walk, use a computer, and interact with students and faculty in person. It includes frequent phone and email communication, and occasional movement throughout the training center. Inventory management requires some lifting and moving of objects up to 30lbs. Excellent communication skills are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English and will include communication with people for whom English is not their first language. This also includes the ability to produce clearly written documents. Those who are multilingual are strongly encouraged to apply.
COMPENSATION:
Salary is range 39. Beginning salary is $42,780 - $48,048 annually, with progressive increases to $56,952, plus a full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options and more. Vacation and leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 11 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, 3 personal leave days, and 14 vacation days per year (incremental increases to 24 vacation days per year).
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time, 40 hours/week. Center hours: 6:00 AM ¿ 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Work hours might vary to accommodate business needs. (Some flexibility may be required for evening or weekend program needs)
