Description

Ready to steer high-stakes undersea programs from concept to delivery? As our Undersea Program and Strategy Manager, you'll own the full program lifecycle and answer for customer outcomes, contract performance, and business results. You'll be the go-to partner for Navy undersea program offices, warfare centers, prime contractors, and government stakeholders, and you'll bring engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, contracts, and finance together to deliver compliant products and services on time, on budget, and to spec.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the team: Build a cross-functional, integrated team with clear goals, work plans, decision rights, a steady operating rhythm, and real ownership.
  • Build trust: Forge strong, lasting relationships with Navy program offices, undersea warfare organizations, warfare centers, contracting activities, primes, and end users.
  • Be the voice of the program: Own the customer relationship. Lead program, technical, and schedule reviews, executive briefings, and customer communications.
  • Turn contracts into action: Translate federal acquisition regulations, SOWs, specs, and deliverable requirements into a clear execution plan with Contracts and functional leads.
  • Navigate the money: Manage fixed-price and cost-reimbursement work, options, incremental funding, milestones, and change authorizations.
  • Keep the scoreboard honest: Track cost, schedule, technical, supply-chain, and contract performance. When numbers drift, dig into the variance and drive a recovery plan fast.
  • Own risk: Lead the risk and opportunity process from identification and quantitative assessment through mitigation, escalation, and closure.
  • Guard the scope: Evaluate customer direction, stop unauthorized work before it starts, and coordinate equitable adjustments, claims support, and contract mods.
  • Deliver on the paperwork: Ensure deliverables, reports, milestone evidence, and contract records are complete and accurate, every time.
  • Partner for compliance: Work with Supply Chain, Quality, and Export Compliance on export controls, cybersecurity, supplier controls, and government property.
  • Drive improvement: Lead corrective actions and continuous improvements that make execution stronger and customer confidence higher.
  • Set the tone: Help build a positive, accountable culture that reflects our core values.

  • Ownership of cost, schedule, scope, risk, customer commitments, and deliverables on production programs
  • Working knowledge of contract types, change management, government funding, proposal development, and program financial forecasting
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, program management, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered)
  • Executive-level communication, negotiation, and relationship skills, plus the ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment
  • A knack for turning technical, contract, and financial details into clear decisions, especially under deadline pressure
