This position is responsible for:
Leads children and adult activities for camp programs, including classroom training, tutoring, sports activities, Bible study, computer programs and specialized programs; maintains the cleanliness of the recreational and outdoor activities areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides constant care for the needs of the children and adults in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure and healthy manner.
- Provides positive, relaxed atmosphere during educational and outdoor activities, and promotes encouraging conversation.
- Ensures the accountability, security and safety of guests participating in outdoor activities; reports all accidents to the supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.
- Ability to observe children and ensure their safety.
- Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing and walking on a frequent change basis.
- Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) frequently.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like.
