Job Description:
Support a community-based research initiative focused on HIV risk, awareness, and trust-building within underserved populations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct structured interviews in Spanish with community participants following IRB protocols
- Engage with local community organizations to support outreach and participant recruitment
- Facilitate conversations around HIV risk, prevention, treatment, and stigma
- Participate in community events to promote education and awareness
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with research standards
- Manage multiple priorities while working independently in the field
Requirements:
Must-Haves:- 2–3 years of experience working autonomously
- Bilingual in Spanish (fluent, conversational for sensitive topics)
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to navigate sensitive conversations
- Comfortable discussing topics such as sexual behavior, drug use, and HIV without judgment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a warm, empathetic, and curious approach
- Ability to build trust quickly in community-based environments
- High attention to detail and ability to follow strict research protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice-to-Haves:- Experience in research, healthcare, public health, or social work
- Background in community outreach or working with underserved populations
- Familiarity with IRB or compliance-driven environments
