Duration: 6–12 months (contract)
Compensation Range: $20/hr – $33/hr W2

Job Description:
Support a community-based research initiative focused on HIV risk, awareness, and trust-building within underserved populations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structured interviews in Spanish with community participants following IRB protocols
  • Engage with local community organizations to support outreach and participant recruitment
  • Facilitate conversations around HIV risk, prevention, treatment, and stigma
  • Participate in community events to promote education and awareness
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with research standards
  • Manage multiple priorities while working independently in the field

Requirements:

Must-Haves:
  • 2–3 years of experience working autonomously
  • Bilingual in Spanish (fluent, conversational for sensitive topics)
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to navigate sensitive conversations
  • Comfortable discussing topics such as sexual behavior, drug use, and HIV without judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a warm, empathetic, and curious approach
  • Ability to build trust quickly in community-based environments
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow strict research protocols
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience in research, healthcare, public health, or social work
  • Background in community outreach or working with underserved populations
  • Familiarity with IRB or compliance-driven environments
