Our work environment is one where innovation is not only supported but encouraged.As a Part-Time Professional Standards Investigator, you will:Conduct thorough, objective investigations into employee misconduct, workplace concerns, and policy violationsInterview employees, witnesses, and leadership to gather facts and ensure a complete understanding of each caseAnalyze evidence and prepare clear, well-documented investigative reports with findings and recommendationsPartner with HR leadership and department directors to support fair and consistent disciplinary decisionsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and City policiesIdentify trends and recommend proactive solutions to reduce risk and improve workplace practicesProvide guidance to supervisors on performance management, documentation, and appropriate escalationSupport a culture of accountability, transparency, and professionalism across the organization Education, Experience, and Licenses:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred Three (3) years of experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, compliance, or a related fieldExperience in a public sector or municipal environment is a plusAn equivalent combination of education, training, and directly related experience may be considered in meeting minimum qualifications.Special Certifications and Licenses:Valid Texas Driver's LicensePreferred Certifications:SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or Workplace Investigation CertificationKey Skills for SuccessStrong knowledge of employment laws and investigative best practicesAbility to remain neutral, objective, and professional in sensitive situationsExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong written communication skills, especially in report writingAbility to handle confidential information with discretionEffective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Apply Today!
