Spot On Veterinary – Groomer (Westport, CT)
We’re expanding our grooming services at our Westport location and looking for an experienced dog groomer to join the team.
This is a busy, established practice with a steady client base and a steady flow of grooming work. We’re looking for someone who knows what they’re doing, takes pride in their work, and can consistently deliver high-quality grooms in a professional setting.
This is not an entry-level role. You need prior professional grooming experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Full-service grooming for dogs (bath, haircut, nails, styling, etc.)
- Keeping your workspace clean, organized, and safe
- Communicating clearly with staff about dogs, grooming needs, and client expectations
- Maintaining a calm, low-stress experience for pets while still working efficiently
What we’re looking for
- Prior professional grooming experience (1+ year preferred, strong work may offset experience)
- Solid grooming skills and consistency across different coat types and breeds
- Good judgment with handling dogs safely and professionally
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a busy environment without cutting corners
