Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering. Must possess a State of Florida Professional Engineer license. A minimum of three years of professional engineering experience to include design is required.
Recruitment Notes
The incumbent will perform professional engineering duties in support of the Wastewater Collection System, working closely with the Division Director and Water-Wastewater Operations Manager. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ongoing Sanitary System Evaluation Study (SSES) requirements; monitoring, maintaining, and updating wastewater collection system databases; and ensuring compliance with applicable Miami-Dade County ordinances, including requirements pertaining to the Cone of Influence. The incumbent will also serve as a liaison with the Engineering and Construction Management Division, the Pump Station Improvement Program, and consultants supporting the Miami-Dade County Consent Decree Program. Duties require the application of professional engineering principles, independent judgment, technical analysis, and coordination with internal divisions and external program management consultants to support regulatory compliance and the effective operation and improvement of the wastewater collection system.
