Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I

West Des Moines

Onsite

Contract - 1st Shift, 5/40

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST

Pay Rate: $22.11/Hr.

Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k Position Summary: Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I

• Entry-level manufacturing position with no certification required.
• Learns and trains on calibration-specific operations under supervision.
• Prepares and assembles components and sub-assemblies.
• Sets up and operates production equipment to ensure spray flow, spray angle, and quality meet specifications.
• Works toward certification within 120 days.
• Refers problems or deviations to experienced technicians, supervisors, or engineers.

Responsibilities: Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I

• Learn to set up and operate test stands for nozzles, spray bars, and valves.
• Learn to operate laser marking and printing equipment.
• Record spray parameters and performance results by serial number.
• Learn product conformance testing and certification processes.
• May learn to disassemble, repair, and assemble products according to specifications.
• Complete production documentation and labor transactions accurately.
• Follow EHS, Quality, and Continuous Improvement standards.
• Participate in safety and continuous improvement activities.
• Work under immediate supervision and follow detailed instructions.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.
• Work overtime, extended shifts, nonstandard hours, and some holidays as business needs require.

Required Qualifications: Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be a U.S. Person.
• Ability to learn company policies, procedures, and job skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I

• Manufacturing background.
• Manual dexterity for assembly and calibration work.
• Ability to learn to read and understand prints.
• Basic computer skills, including email, document printing, and internet use.
• Basic shop math knowledge, including geometric tolerances.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn position fundamentals within the first three months.
• Strong communication skills with employees and management.
