Job Description

This role involves working as part of a production team to process and prepare glass products for final shipment in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will handle inventory, follow written work instructions, and use measuring tools to ensure products meet quality standards. The position offers both day and night shifts, each with guaranteed overtime, and provides extensive on-the-job training for individuals looking to build or grow a career in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with a production team to treat and prepare glass products for final shipment.
• Receive, unload, and organize inventory from incoming trucks in a warehouse environment.
• Read and interpret basic work instructions and manufacturing documentation to complete tasks accurately.
• Use a tape measure to perform quality inspections and verify dimensions of final products.
• Operate and use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to measure product thickness and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Ability to pass a tape measure test (4 questions) demonstrating accurate measurement skills.
• Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts on a regular basis.

Work Environment

The facility is very clean, well lit, and climate controlled, with a dedicated staff that cleans the workplace daily. The environment is structured yet supportive, with extensive training provided during the first week and opportunities to shadow experienced team members to ensure proper manufacturing techniques. The culture emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and long-term employee satisfaction. Multiple openings are available on both day and night shifts: day shift runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with guaranteed overtime, and night shift runs Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM with guaranteed overtime. Dress expectations align with a typical production and warehouse setting, focusing on safety and practicality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Zelienople, PA.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
