Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Production Worker III / Machine Operator to join a blow molding production team in Miami. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring blow molding machines, pelletizers, shredders, and auxiliary production equipment while ensuring products meet established specifications and quality standards.

This is a higher-level production role requiring strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to monitor machine performance, make minor process adjustments, and accurately communicate critical production data.


Required Experience & Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing plant environment
• Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude
• Ability to operate and understand industrial production machinery
• Experience monitoring machine performance and production data
• Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training certification required
• Strong commitment to hazard identification, risk control, and workplace safety


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Navigate machine control panels to retrieve production data and operate equipment
• Start and stop machinery, clear jams, and make minor process adjustments using proper Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Monitor blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment for malfunctions or production concerns
• Report equipment issues to the Production Lead or Supervisor
• Monitor machine performance and record critical data for process control, analysis, and troubleshooting
• Maintain process change logs documenting machine settings, downtime, maintenance activities, QC checks, and machine scrap
• Monitor production materials and perform material changeouts as needed
• Provide production coverage during employee breaks
• Rotate through general blow molding assembly tasks while maintaining product quality standards
• Perform minor process adjustments when necessary to maintain quality
• Visually inspect parts and finished products for defects and specification compliance
• Assist with machine material and color changes and complete first-article submissions


Equipment & Material Handling
• Operate shredders and pelletizers to convert production scrap into reusable material
• Classify, weigh, and properly tag converted scrap materials
• Operate forklifts as required
• Monitor materials supplied to production equipment and replenish or change materials as needed
• Support sort and rework activities involving non-conforming products


Preventive Maintenance & Quality
• Perform minor preventive maintenance tasks, including changing screen packs and filters and completing lubrication activities
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process
• Identify non-conforming products and assist with corrective actions
• Maintain accurate machine, maintenance, scrap, and quality documentation
• Follow established production procedures and quality requirements


Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for 8–12 hours on concrete surfaces
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
• Ability to safely operate production equipment while wearing all required PPE
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with extreme temperatures


Work Environment
• Industrial blow molding and plastics manufacturing facility
• Exposure to blow molding machines, shredders, pelletizers, forklifts, and auxiliary production equipment
• Fast-paced production environment requiring strong safety awareness and attention to machine performance
• 5S-focused workplace emphasizing cleanliness, organization, quality, and operational efficiency
