    Position Overview

    Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable Production Worker I / Assemblers to join a blow molding manufacturing team in the Joplin area. Working under the direction of the Production Supervisor, this position supports daily production by assembling plastic products, inspecting finished components, performing basic testing and packaging, and ensuring products meet established quality standards.

    Required Experience & Skills

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 6–12 months of manufacturing experience preferred
    • Ability to read, understand, and communicate production information
    • Strong attention to detail and product quality
    • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining established production standards
    • Strong time-management skills and sense of urgency
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse production team
    • Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard awareness
    • Ability to follow established procedures and work instructions

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Receive plastic parts directly from production machinery
    • Perform required assembly tasks to complete finished products
    • Rotate through general assembly functions throughout the blow molding production process
    • Inspect parts and finished products to verify conformance to quality standards
    • Perform visual quality inspections to identify defects or non-conforming products
    • Immediately report non-conforming products to the Production Lead or Supervisor
    • Participate in sorting and reworking products when quality issues are identified
    • Perform basic testing and verification of spouts and other components
    • Package completed components and finished products according to requirements
    • Maintain consistent quality and productivity throughout the shift
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area
    • Follow all plant safety procedures and production requirements
    • Perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations

    Quality Responsibilities

    • Visually inspect components throughout the production process
    • Verify finished products meet established quality requirements
    • Identify defective or non-conforming products
    • Immediately communicate quality concerns to production leadership
    • Assist with sorting and reworking non-conforming products
    • Maintain attention to detail while performing repetitive production tasks

    5S & Workplace Organization

    Employees are expected to maintain work areas according to 5S principles:

    • Standardize
    • Sustain

    This includes keeping production areas clean, organized, efficient, and free of unnecessary safety hazards.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous plastic manufacturing experience
    • Blow molding production experience
    • Manufacturing assembly experience
    • Production packaging experience
    • Quality inspection experience
    • Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
    • Ability to stand on concrete surfaces for 8–12 hours
    • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and repetitive physical movement
    • Ability to tolerate repetitive assembly tasks for extended periods
    • Ability to safely perform production work while wearing required safety equipment
    • Comfortable working in manufacturing environments with extreme temperatures
    • Ability to remain physically active throughout an extended production shift

    Work Environment

    • Blow molding and plastic manufacturing facility
    • Fast-paced production and assembly environment
    • Regular interaction with production machinery, plastic components, packaging materials, and finished products
    • Repetitive assembly and inspection responsibilities throughout the shift
    • Exposure to varying and extreme temperatures
