Production Worker
Pay: $18.00 per hour (1st shift); $18.50 per hour (2nd and 3rd shifts)
Location: Near Clifton Park, NY (on site, bus line accessible)
Employment Type: Temporary with potential to hire, 3+ months
Shifts: 1st 6 AM – 2 PM | 2nd 2 PM – 10 PM | 3rd 10 PM – 6 AM, Monday–Friday
The Opportunity
Our client is adding production team members across all three shifts. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn a skilled manufacturing process, with the chance to move into a permanent position after the initial assignment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Running and watching production equipment during the manufacturing process
- Measuring, weighing, and mixing materials according to set instructions
- Loading and unloading materials and supporting each stage of production
- Trimming, cutting, molding, assembling, labeling, and packaging finished products
- Inspecting items in process and finished goods for defects and quality concerns
- Filling out production and quality paperwork accurately
- Alerting a supervisor to equipment issues, material shortages, defects, or safety concerns
- Handling materials safely, following safety data sheets and company procedures
- Keeping your work area clean and organized
- Helping with inventory counts and moving or storing supplies
- Working with teammates, quality staff, maintenance, and supervisors to meet schedules and output goals
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is helpful, though training is available
- Ability to follow written and spoken instructions carefully
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and recording materials
- Attention to detail and pride in quality work
- A willingness to learn, plus reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Physical Demands and Environment
- Standing and walking for long periods, and repetitive tasks
- Lifting and moving materials within safe limits
- Wearing protective gear such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection
- Manufacturing setting that may involve noise, heat, odors, or exposure to chemicals
