Production Worker – Assembly

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, produce, and repair parts using hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
• Read and follow work orders, assembly instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect finished products and materials for quality and defects.
• Identify, count, organize, and prepare materials and finished products.
• Maintain accurate production records, including quantities and time worked.
• Keep workstations, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills, including measurements, fractions, and decimals.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools and working with production equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively with a team.
• Willingness to learn new processes and take on additional responsibilities.

• Previous manufacturing, production, or assembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
• Experience operating machinery or using hand and power tools.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks and handle materials throughout the workday.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or move materials as required.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with production machinery and moderate noise levels.
• Ability to follow established safety procedures and properly use equipment.
