Production/Weld Operator
Job Summary
We are hiring Production/Weld Operators to join a manufacturing team producing automotive components. This position involves working on an assembly line, operating welding equipment and manufacturing machinery, inspecting finished components, and maintaining a safe and organized work area.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position that is a great fit for candidates with production, welding, assembly, or machine operation experience. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities

Operate assembly line equipment and manufacturing machinery to meet production goals

Operate automatic welding machines and various hand tools

Assemble and weld components according to established work instructions

Inspect parts for proper weld counts, quantities, and overall quality

Maintain accurate production and downtime records

Rotate between different production tasks as needed

Identify and report defective materials or quality concerns to the supervisor

Follow all safety procedures and plant rules

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Follow 5S workplace standards

Use handheld pneumatic and battery-powered tools

Work effectively as part of a team

Complete required training

Work overtime when needed to meet production demands
Qualifications

Manufacturing experience is a plus

Welding, assembly, machine operation, or production experience is helpful

Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good hand coordination and dexterity

Comfortable performing repetitive gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching

Ability to stand for the entire shift

Ability to repeatedly lift and/or carry up to 35 pounds

Ability to wear required PPE, including gloves, sleeves, jeans, closed-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection
