Welder- Harvey, IL - Pay Range - $21-$23/hr.
Shift/Schedule:
2nd shift - 3:30 pm to 12:00 am (Monday-Friday)
Will train on 1stShift (Monday-Friday)7 am- 3:30 PM
This position is contract to hire and will be part of a union when hired onfull time.Ourmanufacturingcustomer inHarveyisseekinganwelderfor their growingautomotiveoperation.
Job Duties:
Read and work from customer drawings to produce high-quality welds
Perform welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions (GMAW, FCAW, and/or SAW)
Use hand tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment
Inspect your own work and ensure welds meet quality standards
Make adjustmentsas needed tomaintaintop-quality results
Work closely with production and engineering teams to solve challenges
Qualifications:
Experience with welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, and/or SAW)
Ability to recognize basic weld defects andmaintainquality
Comfortable using grinding tools and air-arc (carbon-arc) equipment
Ability to work independently and stay productive
Willingness to follow instructions, safety rules, and production goals
