THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION
Perform all position arc welding on a variety of fabricated products and material
Receive route cards, prints, and work assignments from supervisor
Read prints for welding requirements and sets proper amperage for type of material to be welded; cleans and prepares items for welding
Positions and assembles material in jib, fixtures or welds preassembled units; may do limited set up
Performs all position welding; selects proper electrode for specified weld
Uses torch for burning or heating
Operates automatic, semi-automatic
Sets up stud welder
Performs air gouging and maintenance welding
Chips and cleans welds to apply additional weld passes
Performs other duties as assigned or directed
2nd shift is 3PM to 1AM Monday to Thursday
Overtime on an as needed basis scheduled on Friday and/or Saturday
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
1 year of welding experience and/or certification
Hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, leather apron, flame resistant jacket, aluminumized sleeves, welders gloves are required
Must pass background check and pre-employment physical and drug screen.
