Under general supervision, the Production Test Technician will perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of systems and subcomponents needed within manufacturing that include both Electronic and mechanical assemblies.

PAY RANGE: $24.00hr

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Adheres to test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
• Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
• May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
• Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
• May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
• Performs a variety of electronic, mechanical and test functions following written Standard Operating Procedures and verbal instructions as part of the manufacturing team.
• Good organizational and relevant computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) are needed for maintaining production records.
• Job duties will have overlap across all products produced in Oak Ridge as needed including UAS Flight & Test as well as Radiation & explosive detection test processes.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Testing of bare and assembled mechanical parts and electronic components following manufacturing documentation instructions, process documents, travelers, etc.
• Perform sub-assembly and process assembly inspections.
• Test and troubleshoot completed instruments through QA/QC processes.
• Complete production/quality related documentation.
• Assist Engineering with the building and testing of prototypes.
• Perform work in accordance with quality and engineering standards.
• Inspect and document completed assembly work.
• Meet work quotas while conforming to quality standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work area to ensure professional work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
