This position assists with ingredient preparation, recipe execution, cooking and production processes, portioning, packaging, labeling, sanitation, and quality control.The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, works well in a team, follows recipes and procedures accurately, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and professional kitchen.ESSENTIAL DUTIESPrepare ingredients and kitchen workstations for daily production.Follow recipes, batch instructions, and production schedules accurately.Measure and portion ingredients according to established specifications.Assist with mixing, cooking, molding, filling, cutting, and finishing products.Safely operate kitchen equipment and production tools.Package and label finished products accurately.Perform quality checks for appearance, consistency, weight, and packaging.Maintain accurate production logs and batch records.Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen at all times.Follow food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and cannabis compliance requirements.Properly store ingredients, supplies, and finished products.Monitor inventory and report ingredient or packaging shortages.Work with the kitchen team to meet daily production goals.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Kitchen or Production Manager.REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong attention to detail.Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and written procedures.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.Commitment to cleanliness and food-safety standards.Ability to safely use kitchen equipment.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.Previous kitchen, bakery, food production, manufacturing, or cannabis experience preferred.Commercial kitchen or food-handling experience is a plus.Cannabis production experience is helpful but not required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to stand for extended periods.Ability to perform repetitive kitchen and production tasks.Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the kitchen.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.At Nirvana Cannabis, we believe in empowering our team with knowledge, passion, and opportunity.
