What You Will DoThe primary duty of the Production Technician is to support the daily operation of the
production assembly area through leadership, training, coordination, and guidance of production personnel. This role will serve as a working team lead on the production floor, helping drive the successful achievement of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and team development objectives.
The Production Technician will act as a resource for production employees by providing coaching, training, troubleshooting support, and direction on established processes and procedures. Working closely with the Manufacturing Manager and Assembly Supervisor, this position will help coordinate workflow, monitor production priorities, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. The Production Technician will serve as a backup to the Assembly Supervisor as required and will assist in maintaining efficient and effective production operations.
- Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and regulations are met.
- Demonstrates knowledge and acts in accordance with NMT's Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT's Quality Manual.
- Serve as a day-to-day leader within the production assembly area, promoting a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment. Provide training, coaching, and guidance to production employees on assembly processes, work instructions, quality requirements, and best practices. Assist with onboarding and cross-training of new and existing employees.
- Monitor production activities and help coordinate work assignments to support daily production goals and priorities.
- Act as a resource for operators by assisting with troubleshooting process, equipment, and quality-related issues.
- Communicate production concerns, staffing needs, quality trends, and operational issues to the Manufacturing Manager and Assembly Supervisor.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Assist in maintaining production documentation and ensuring adherence to approved procedures and work instructions.
- Verify that production personnel follow quality requirements, good documentation practices, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Assist in the assembly and testing of medical devices as needed to support production schedules and customer requirements.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the backup to the Assembly Supervisor by providing floor coverage, employee support, and production coordination during supervisor absences.
- Assists in label printing process for production area as needed.
- Regular attendance is required.
