Are you a detail-oriented Production Technician looking for an exciting opportunity in Bellevue, WA, to work with cutting-edge RF and microwave technology? Join a small, highly specialized engineering and manufacturing company recognized as a global leader in programmable delay line instruments, where you'll gain hands-on experience with precision electromechanical assembly, electronics testing, calibration, and troubleshooting! This is an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of the entire production process and grow your technical skills in a collaborative, innovative environment. Please note that the company anticipates relocating to the Woodinville/Bothell area in early 2027.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Production Technician position include:
- Minimum 2 years of experience assembling, building, and testing electronic products, along with at least 2 years of technical education in electrical technology or equivalent college education or technical proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with precision mechanical and electronic assemblies, including chassis components, motors, relays, printed circuit boards, and semi-rigid coaxial cables.
- Proficiency in fine-pitch surface-mount technology (SMT) soldering down to 0201 component sizes, using precision hand tools, calipers, micrometers, soldering irons, and other specialized assembly equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and technical documentation; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of electronic testing, troubleshooting, and calibration procedures using multimeters, oscilloscopes, Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Time Domain Reflectometers (TDR), and other precision testing equipment.
- Perform precision mechanical fabrication, soldering, wiring, component installation, and complete manual assembly of programmable delay line instruments for RF and microwave applications.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections, functional testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of finished products while identifying and replacing defective components or subsystems.
- Complete production and service work orders independently, maintain accurate manufacturing and repair documentation, and prepare finished instruments for shipment while meeting production schedules and quality standards.
Salary: $25 - $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
