Description

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime Required)
Location: Slingerlands, NY (on Bus Route)


Position Summary

The Production Assembler is a key contributor to the manufacturing operation, supporting the assembly and production of electro-mechanical systems and components. This role requires hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented environment and is dedicated to meeting production goals efficiently and safely.


Core Responsibilities

  • Perform hand assembly of sub-systems and components (electro-mechanical assemblies)
  • Read, interpret, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
  • Operate manual hand tools and power tools for assembly and validation tasks
  • Use material handling equipment, including manual and electric pallet jacks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues with systems, sub-systems, and components
  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and OSHA regulations

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience (electro-mechanical preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Experience using hand and power tools safely
  • Ability to work overtime and adapt to changing production demands
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to complete transactions accurately
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
  • Team player with effective communication skills
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
