    Production Technician
    Job Summary
    The Production employee is responsible for assisting in the construction and completion of modular buildings through multiple stages of the manufacturing process. Team members may work in electrical, plumbing, framing, flooring, roofing, finishing, exterior installation, painting, and material handling. This position requires the ability to read a tape measure, follow blueprints, safely operate hand and power tools, and work efficiently as part of a production team.
    Pay & Hours
    • $20 per hour
    • 6am to 230pm M-F, some OT required (no weekends)
    • 30-minute unpaid lunch with a 10-minute break as well
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Plumbing
    • Install plumbing throughout modular buildings.
    • Solder copper piping.
    • Install toilets, showers, and vanities.
    • Install plumbing fixtures.
    Flooring
    • Install floor joists.
    • Install insulation.
    • Install floor decking.
    • Sand flooring surfaces.
    • Install interior flooring.
    • Use hand and power tools as required.
    Wall Construction
    • Frame walls and windows.
    • Operate saws, nail guns, and other power tools.
    • Ensure walls and components are square and properly aligned.
    • Utilize lifting equipment to position walls onto frames.
    • Install drywall securely.
    Roofing
    • Build roof joists.
    • Install spray foam insulation.
    • Install heat ducts and ceiling coverings.
    • Set roof structures.
    • Install roof decking.
    Final Finish
    • Install drywall back panels.
    • Install trim and cove base.
    • Install ACT ceiling grids and ceiling tile.
    • Install window casing and trim.
    • Install windows.
    • Install blinds.
    • Install interior and exterior doors, hardware, and finish components.
    • Fill nail holes and perform final cleanup.
    Exterior Assembly
    • Install insulation, sheeting, and vapor barriers.
    • Install windows.
    • Verify all assemblies are square and properly aligned.
    • Install siding and trim.
    • Caulk around windows.
    • Install roofing materials.
    Painting
    • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections.
    • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
    • Maintain clean work areas and equipment.
    • Perform detailed finish work with accuracy and patience.
    Material Handling
    • Load and unload trucks.
    • Organize and store materials in designated locations.
    • Supply materials to production departments.
    • Verify incoming materials.
    • Assist other departments as needed.
    • Operate forklifts or become certified to do so.
    Qualifications
    • HSD/GED Preferred
    • Ability to read a tape measure is required.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
    • Basic mechanical aptitude and construction skills.
    • Experience using hand and power tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and quality.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Willingness to work in various production departments as needed.
    • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the workday.
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the workday.
    • Ability to work on scaffolding and at heights as required.
    • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions depending on the department.
    • Ability to safely operate tools and production equipment.
