Job Title: Production Team Lead - Injection Molding

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly (1st/2nd/3rd shifts available)

Department: Production

Role Overview

Are you an experienced injection molding professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a self-motivated Production Team Lead to guide floor operations, support press operators, and ensure daily manufacturing goals are met safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Floor Leadership & Operations: Coordinate daily activities across injection molding presses, stepping in to relieve operators during breaks and running equipment when needed.

  • Workstation Setup: Prepare workstations for new production runs by ensuring tools, documentation, labels, and raw materials are staged and ready.

  • Team Training & Coaching: Train, mentor, and coach operators on machine operation, safety rules, quality standards, and work instructions.

  • Inventory & ERP System Usage: Use Epicor (ERP) to transfer components to bin locations, count finished goods, seal materials, and maintain accurate inventory tracking.

  • Quality & Rework Management: Direct product rework efforts, verify RMA counts, complete quality documentation, and input data into the MRB system.

  • Continuous Improvement: Partner with supervisors to identify waste, reduce scrap rates, optimize cycle times, and promote a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1+ years of plastic injection molding experience required; general manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP software (Epicor experience is a strong plus).

  • Leadership: Proven ability to coach team members, communicate effectively, and maintain high standards for quality and safety.

  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive problem solver, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting and carrying of materials up to 40 lbs.

  • Manual dexterity for simple hand grasping, trimming, labeling, and workstation setup.

  • Good visual acuity, including depth perception, color vision, and close-up detail inspection.
