Production Team Lead (2nd Shift) — High Point, NC
Shift: 2nd shift, 3:30pm–12:00 midnight
Location:  High Point, NC 27265

Our Client has been designing and manufacturing innovative hand protection for over 100 years—turning safety and performance into PPE workers actually want to wear. We’re looking for a rock-star Production Team Lead to help drive a high-performing, safety-first operation in our manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll coach your team, optimize processes, uphold quality standards, and actively support day-to-day production.
Required Skills
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting (3+ years)
  • Ability to lead by example in a hands-on production environment
  • Strong coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production equipment
  • Comfortable using handheld scanning devices and intermediate computer applications
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety, quality assurance, and housekeeping
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving bending, pushing, and extended walking
  • Experience managing shift priorities and supporting operational workflow (including troubleshooting and documentation)
Nice to Have Skills
  • Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering Technology or a related field (e.g., polymer technology/engineering)
  • Forklift license and warehouse equipment training
  • Experience with chemical batching and production workflow management
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement initiatives and tracking KPIs
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Preferred: Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering Technology or a related field (polymer technology/engineering is a plus)
  • Preferred: Post-secondary education in logistics, manufacturing, or equivalent experience
  • Experience:3+ years in leadership within a manufacturing or distribution environment
Other Requirements
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (3:30pm–12:00 midnight)
  • Must be comfortable serving as backup for Operators and participating actively in production activities
  • Will administer shift documentation, including payroll, performance management, and scheduling
