Summary: 

Leverage your strong leadership skills, manufacturing expertise, and problem-solving abilities to ensure our production lines operate efficiently and meet all quality and output goals. The Production Lead is a tactical, floor-based leadership role focused on supporting daily production output and quality in our gas engine remanufacturing facility. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for ensuring production schedules are met.
  • Ensure company standards and procedures are followed.
  • Assists the supervisor in managing staff, operational equipment, and day to day functions.
  • Support production supervisor with interviews. 
  • Complete all production related paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Ensure training of new and existing employees is completed successfully.
  • Monitor department performance and make adjustments as needed.
  • Update SQDC Tier Boards in a timely manner and lead daily stand-up meetings.  Understands and drives operations metrics.
  • Ensure employees are on task and hold the teammates accountable.
  • Communicate directly with managers regarding production or employee issues.
  • Communicate with other Team Leads and Supervisors to ensure a steady flow of production throughout the plant.
  • Provides work direction to production associates in the absence of a supervisor. 

 

Qualifications

  • Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Ability to lead and motivate people to develop skills and drive results. 
  • The ability to work in a cooperative manner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to delegate tasks, give and receive feedback, and have difficult conversations. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong organizational, planning, follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable 
  • Soft Skills required: Leadership, communication, problem solving, teamwork, time management, decision making, computer literacy, interpersonal 
  • Ability to take a broad perspective to problems and spot new, less obvious solutions.
