Production Team Lead

Nesco Resource is looking for a Production Team Lead in Bethel, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3PM

Pay: $25/Hour

Position Overview : The Production Team Lead will provide day-to-day leadership and hands-on support within the Laser Cutting Department. This position is responsible for helping coordinate production activities, ensuring quality and productivity standards are met, and supporting operators with equipment, processes, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team while remaining actively involved in production.
Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing or production experience; laser cutting or precision manufacturing experience preferred
• Previous lead, senior operator, or supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Experience operating and/or setting up production equipment
• Ability to identify quality issues and troubleshoot basic production problems
• Comfortable working in a highly regulated, quality-focused manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to train, coach, and support production employees
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining production schedules
• Computer skills and ability to learn manufacturing systems/software

• Provide day-to-day direction and support to Laser Cutting Department personnel
• Operate laser cutting equipment and remain hands-on with production activities
• Help coordinate daily production schedules, priorities, and workflow
• Monitor production output, quality, and efficiency
• Assist operators with equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting
• Train and mentor new and existing employees on department procedures and equipment
• Inspect work and ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications
• Identify production issues and communicate concerns to management and appropriate departments
• Help maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Ensure proper handling of materials, tooling, and finished product
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Assist with process improvements and initiatives designed to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency
• Help ensure department procedures and company policies are followed
• Serve as a point of contact between production employees and department leadership
• Perform other production and leadership responsibilities as needed
