    This role serves as the primary leader and problem-solver for operators, ensuring that production goals are met through strong floor presence, clear expectations, disciplined execution, and active performance management. The supervisor is accountable for labor utilization, adherence to standard work, training compliance, quality outcomes, and production flow within their areas of responsibility.

    The Transmission Production Supervisor is expected to lead through others, respond quickly to production, quality, or staffing disruptions, and escalate issues clearly when needed. Success in this role requires a balance of hands-on operational engagement, people leadership, data-driven decision making, and consistent enforcement of processes and policies.

    Responsibilities/Job Expectations:

    • Actively lead safety culture within assigned areas by wearing all necessary personal protective equipment and mandating those within accountable production stations to do the same
    • Actively participate in all production communication channels, including TEAMS, email, RingCentral, Trello, and any new platforms we adopt at ETE
    • Act as the go-to leader for all operators in designated production stations, assisting operators with anything they need to achieve their individual and team goals
    • Be present at designated workstation at least 5 minutes before the shift starts
    • Model professionalism and core values 100% of the time
    • Always be physically present on the production floor in designated area during scheduled shift, except for scheduled break times and during scheduled required meetings.
    • Perform weekly audits of production jobs in Syteline (ERP System) to ensure all jobs are current and at the appropriate operation in Syteline
    • Perform weekly audits of any serialized component materials to ensure that all material inventories are accurate
    • Monitor throughput and respond quickly to shortages (people, parts, equipment) through labor rebalancing, job reprioritization, and escalation of issues to appropriate people or teams
    • Maintain station organization and cleanliness
    • Ensure that all operators are sufficiently trained and monitored, as necessary, to complete their respective operations properly
    • Partner with Quality Department to support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and error-proofing initiatives as well and participate in continuous improvement events
    • Work to develop operators through consistent coaching, feedback, and skill-building
    • Identify high-potential employees and support advancement and training to continue to elevate deserving employees
    • Clearly document issues, actions, and follow-ups that occur within the production stations
    • Conduct daily start-of-shift standup meetings to check in with team
    • Ensure that all operators are at their respective workstations and working productively throughout the entirety of the scheduled shift.
    • Maintain subject matter expertise on all company policies and procedures to make sure that operators can go to supervisors first for questions/clarification regarding those policies and procedures
    • Ensure all employees are up to date on training, work instructions, proper tool usage, and quality alerts
    • Meet KPI’s as set, including KPI’s regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
    • Monitor employee schedules, including time punches and Paid Time Off schedule
    • Write and perform employee evaluations
    • Submit all necessary documentation regarding employee conduct and plant rule violations. This includes memo-to-file submission, disciplinary paperwork, and performance improvement documentation
    • Submit IT and ERP (Syteline) tickets as necessary. This includes learning how to use ETE’s online help desk and monitoring previously submitted tickets
    • Ensure that production-related parts carts (MI Carts) are consistently organized and replenished appropriately
    • Ensure that parts requests, during the day and during day-end parts reviews, are submitted properly using all designated systems
    • Learn and uphold all packaging procedures for accountable production stations
    • Create and send end-of-shift reports to manager as instructed
    • Partner with Maintenance and Management to ensure machine uptime by assisting with preventative maintenance schedules as required

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • At least 1 year of experience leading a team of at least 5 people at ETE (3 years of experience required if external to ETE)
    • Demonstrated ability to lead under fast-paced, high-pressure scenarios in a manufacturing environment.
    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools (such as 5S, continuous improvement, etc.)
    • Ability to use UKG (or other Human Resources Information System) platform
    • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook/Calendar, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in ERP (Syteline ERP preferred) systems, including ability to solve problems for regularly occurring issues, such as issues with job operations or inventory
    • Ability to read, understand, and train employees on work instructions, specifications, parts lists, and quality alerts
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for 8+ hours per day
    • General ability to use tools and other instruments
    • High-School diploma or equivalent
    • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
