Description:
Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and material supply.
Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
Supervises the activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the manufacturing function.
Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product.
Work is of a technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general procedures.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
Typically reports to a manager.
Skills Required:
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Knowledge of basic math. Oral and written communications skills.
Understanding of basic technology of area where assigned.
Knowledge of scheduling and other management systems.
Experience Required:
10 years of relevant experience.
Education Required:
High school graduate or equivalent training, plus additional training such as that acquired in the first one or two years of technical or business school.
