Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor oversees production activities across assigned areas of the plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role leads a team of operators, supports process reliability, and partners closely with Maintenance, Quality, and EHS to meet production goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise production operators to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality chemical manufacturing.
• Monitor chemical processes, equipment performance, and production parameters to maintain throughput and product specifications.
• Enforce safety programs, including PSM, HAZOP, lockout/tagout, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment issues, minimize downtime, and support preventive maintenance activities.
• Manage shift schedules, staffing, training, and performance expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement in yield, waste reduction, process stability, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production records, shift logs, and incident documentation.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance across OSHA, EPA, and internal standards.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, processing, or industrial production.
• Prior experience as a Production Supervisor, Lead Operator, or Shift Supervisor.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, batch/continuous operations, and plant equipment.
• Working knowledge of PSM, HAZMAT, HAZCOM, and safety-critical procedures.
• Ability to lead teams, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work assigned shift, including weekends or overtime as needed.
