Description

We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and production employees. This role is responsible for balancing safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost while coaching employees, maintaining efficient workflow, and driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is a floor-focused leader who sets clear expectations, communicates effectively, develops their team, and leads by example.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production goals aligned with safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees to improve performance and support long-term growth.
  • Provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues professionally.
  • Support interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and retention of production employees.
  • Organize workflow, assign responsibilities, and develop production schedules.
  • Monitor production output, quality, and performance; take corrective action when targets are not met.
  • Maintain production and employee performance reports.
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives through completion.
  • Ensure safe equipment operation and adherence to preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Enforce safety, quality, housekeeping, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free production floor.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors and departments to maintain material flow and support on-time delivery.
  • Set the standard for attendance, professionalism, teamwork, safety, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Previous supervisory, team leadership, or production leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflow, scheduling, quality, and production performance.
  • Proven ability to coach employees and manage performance effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and production-related calculations.
  • Ability to prepare reports and interpret safety rules, policies, procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
