Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, coordinate production activities, and ensure that schedules, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently met. The successful candidate will provide leadership to production employees, resolve operational challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity and reduce waste.
Key Responsibilities

  • Review production orders and ensure production schedules and department goals are achieved.
  • Plan and coordinate staffing, work schedules, and employee assignments to meet production demands.
  • Supervise, support, and motivate employees in their daily work performance.
  • Assign employees to appropriate positions to improve workflow, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Develop training schedules for new employees and evaluate employee performance.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including attendance and performance evaluations.
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust job routers as needed.
  • Address employee performance issues and administer disciplinary actions in accordance with company procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute production, safety, and other operational reports for management.
  • Identify and resolve production or personnel issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Establish department objectives and performance goals that support overall business targets.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, productivity, and scrap reduction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and enforce safe work practices.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five to ten years of industry-related experience.
  • At least two years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, train employees, and promote teamwork.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of plating specifications, process characteristics, and production equipment.
  • Professional and effective interaction with customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to remain composed in stressful situations.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CEF certification or related experience.
  • Hazardous waste training.
  • HAZWOPER training.
  • Valid forklift license.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Work may take place in a wet or humid manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to heat, noise, dust, odors, fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts may occur.
  • Hearing protection and other required personal protective equipment must be used on the shop floor.
  • The position may require standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and grasping as needed to perform job duties.
  • Regular use of computers and standard office equipment is required.
