Client Information- A northeast Indianapolis company that specializes in chemical and raw materials distribution. Duties and Responsibilities:  


Job summary-  The production supervisor play a key role in overseeing day to day operations including working directly with 8 to 9 associates in the manufacturing areas to ensure that daily tasks and goals are met; procedures and policies are followed.


Job Duties

  • Supervise all functions in the production area including packaging and blending operations.
  • Lead and motivate packaging team, assign tasks, conduct training for new employees and provide ongoing development opportunities for existing staff members.
  • Responsible for managing equipment setups, tear downs and changeovers.
  • Enforce safety regulations, compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s); ultimately maintain a secure work environment.
  • Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess production efficiency and implement improvements.
  • Create and manage production schedules, coordinate workflow, and plan for upcoming production runs.
  • Container inspection for quality, adherence to specifications.
  • Load, unload and process ingredients following Bill of Materials
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, GFSI guidelines and cGMP practices.
  • Assist in inventory cycle counts.

 

Skills and Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three (3) plus years of warehouse experience (chemical environment a plus)
  • Must possess good mathematical skills; able to operate a forklift is a plus
  • Must be able to perform data entry functions necessary to close out work orders and manage inventory transaction(s). 
  • Shift: M- F 8am to 5pm (1 hour lunch)
