Production Supervisor – Manufacturing Leadership Opportunity

Our client, a growing and innovative manufacturing company in Greensboro, NC, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a fast-paced production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who excels at developing teams, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This role requires more than a typical production lead. The ideal candidate is a people-focused leader who can motivate employees, improve processes, manage production performance, and effectively collaborate across departments to achieve operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
  • Set clear daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives while communicating expectations to team members.
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities, balancing staffing levels, and managing production schedules.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop production associates to maximize engagement, accountability, and performance.
  • Monitor production output and quality standards to ensure products meet customer and company specifications.
  • Promote a culture of safety by enforcing company policies, GMPs, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Oversee equipment utilization and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze production challenges, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements to increase operational effectiveness.
  • Train new employees on production procedures, equipment operation, safety practices, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate production, inventory, labor, and performance records using SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Partner with warehouse, quality, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure efficient material flow and operational success.
  • Prepare reports related to production results, downtime, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong manufacturing experience with knowledge of production processes, equipment, and operational workflows.
  • Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
  • Experience utilizing SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and production reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or related education preferred.
