    Description

    Production Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the production of multiple processes or production lines within a highly technical manufacturing environment, driving overall operational success.

    • Evaluate plant performance daily and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, and product quality.

    • Lead and support technical teams in achieving quality, cost, delivery, and customer service objectives.

    • Troubleshoot operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

    • Coach and develop operators through training, communication, and performance feedback.

    • Identify process improvement opportunities and partner with engineering teams to implement solutions.

    • Provide technical and operational expertise for projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Serve as a liaison between operations and maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and production efficiency.

    • Train and mentor junior operators and team members.

    • Prioritize production schedules based on customer demand, equipment capacity, and material availability.

    • Participate in process development, operational excellence, and cost-reduction initiatives.

    • Assist with budget planning and departmental expense management.

    • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.

    • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and production processes.

    • Understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database systems.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to prepare reports, procedures, and business correspondence.

    • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication abilities.

    • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to gather data, analyze information, and implement effective solutions.

    • Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making abilities.

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Leadership

    • Provides guidance, coaching, and support to production team members.

    • Assists with employee development and performance improvement.

    • Promotes accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

    • Regularly required to communicate effectively and hear clearly.

    • Frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday.

    • Occasionally required to sit, reach, and handle small components.

    • Must be able to:

      • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.

      • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
