Production Supervisor
Location: Coachella, CA
Schedule: Friday through Sunday, 3:30am to 4:00pm, with occasional coverage for first and second shift as needed
A defense manufacturing company is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead its third shift operation. In this role, you will oversee a team of about 20 operators, QC technicians, and a team lead while keeping safety, quality, and output on track. This is a great fit for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, digging into the data, and driving continuous improvement on the production floor.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
-Lead a third shift team of operators, QC technicians, and a team lead, setting clear expectations and supporting their growth
-Plan and assign daily work to meet production schedules without compromising safety or quality
-Develop team leads and emerging leaders through coaching, feedback, and regular performance reviews
-Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and improve efficiency
-Analyze production and quality trends, identify root causes, and put corrective actions in place
-Conduct quality and process audits and share findings with engineering and cross-functional teams
-Enforce safety procedures, lead regular safety meetings, and stop production when safety or quality concerns arise
-Coordinate with maintenance on preventive maintenance and respond quickly to equipment issues to minimize downtime
-Maintain accurate production, attendance, and training records in the ERP system
Production Supervisor Requirements:
-4+ years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory or leadership experience
-Bachelors degree is a plus
-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
-Proven track record leading continuous improvement initiatives
-Experience with trend analysis and using data to drive decisions
-Experience working in an ERP system such as LN or SAP
