Production Supervisor
Location: 250 Dixon Drive, Chestertown, MD 21620
Work Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Salary Range: $65,000 to $90,000 Annually

The Dixon Group is seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Chestertown, MD! In this leadership role, you will oversee daily operations within a defined production department, ensuring schedules are met, quality standards are upheld, and employees are supported and well‑trained. You will plan work, delegate assignments, guide team members, and help uphold company policies and continuous‑improvement initiatives. What You'll Do:

  • Lead daily Cell meetings with Zone Leaders to align priorities and communicate expectations
  • Coordinate and implement production activities in partnership with other leaders
  • Verify corrective actions, including performing root cause analysis and ensuring follow‑through
  • Learn and apply the Dixon MOS to perform supervisory duties effectively
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate leaders and operators to support team success
  • Gather, analyze, and summarize performance metrics
  • Conduct timely employee performance reviews and provide ongoing developmental feedback
  • Promote, uphold, and help establish Standard Work practices
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
  • Manufacturing and machining knowledge
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using various computer systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively
