Production Supervisor

Our client, a leading automotive powertrain manufacturer, is seeking a Production Supervisor (Production Unit Leader) to join their team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be part of the Manufacturing Operations team supporting production, quality, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a continuous improvement mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Trenton, MI
Pay Range: Starting at $30.00/hr+ Based on Experience

What’s the Job?

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 80 employees in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ensure production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and cost objectives are consistently achieved.
• Manage staffing, attendance, manpower allocation, and employee development to support operational goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing activities, and waste reduction projects focused on safety, quality, cost, and throughput.
• Partner with plant leadership and union employees to resolve issues, improve performance, and maintain a positive work environment.

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Strong ability to lead teams, coach employees, and drive accountability.
• Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 12:30 AM) and overtime as needed.
