Each day, you can expect to oversee production operations, ensuring that process efficiency and safety standards are met. You'll lead your team in problem-solving and will actively engage with staff to provide training and support, fostering a high-performance culture. Daily tasks will include coordinating production schedules, monitoring quality assurance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise on the floor. Your typical schedule will be Monday through Friday from 10PM to 6:30 AM (+$3.00 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL)Help assemble, calibrate, operate, and monitor extruder and all auxiliary equipment (pumps, micro-motions, dry coating applicator, tanks, agitators, etc.) of one extrusion systemMonitors and manages shrink losses to acceptable limits/standardsIdentifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skillsEnsures tests and evaluations of products and processes are being executed by production team in coordination with Quality Assurance Ensures compliance with Barrett's GMP and safety guidelinesAbility to track and manage inventory efficientlyReports to the Production Manager and Site Manager to collect, evaluate, analyze, and assess operationContinuously looks for process improvement and best practicesEnsures operator PMs are completed per shiftWork with Maintenance Department to identify and correct any issues in a timely mannerCollaborates and communicates with all department leadership ensuring successOrganizes, trains, directs, and oversee the production teamProvides constructive and timely performance evaluationsProvides guidance to team members to address immediate staff issuesComplete attendance records & manage time off requestsSanitation as neededPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSProlonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.What we're looking for in a Production SupervisorTo thrive as a Production Supervisor at Barrett Petfood, several key skills are essential for success.
