We are the leaders in our industry and have customers in all 50 states plus additional countries worldwide.Battery cabinets are engineered enclosures that bring our chargers, dc distribution, and batteries together into a complete system.What you'll do...We are looking for a Production Supervisor to lead the team that builds our battery cabinets. This is a real supervisory role. You own the performance of your area and the people in it, not just the schedule.You will set the standard for how work gets done in your area, develop the people on your team, and keep production moving predictably day to day. You will work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to keep material, drawings, and priorities lined up with what your team needs to build.Leading your teamOwn performance for your team, including setting clear expectations, giving regular feedback, and completing reviewsApprove timecards and time off requests, and manage staffing coverage against the production scheduleHave a real voice in who joins your team, including interviewing candidatesBuild depth on your team, including developing working leads within your areaSupport onboarding, training, and cross training so people can move between stations as demand shiftsRunning the areaAccountable for your area against safety, quality, on time delivery, productivity, and labor efficiency, and for taking action when targets are at riskAssign and prioritize work based on the production schedule, staffing levels, and material availabilityRespond quickly to disruptions and restore standard operationsRaise issues that originate outside your area rather than working around themKeep the area safe, clean, and organized, and follow through on safety concernsWorking across the companyPartner with Quality to identify, investigate, and resolve defects, and hold process control at the team levelPartner with Supply Chain on material availability, staging, and inventory accuracy within your areaPartner with Engineering on drawing questions, product changes, and manufacturabilityIdentify and lead continuous improvement work in your areaWhat you bring...Experience and backgroundExperience supervising or leading a team in a manufacturing or production environmentStrong understanding of shop floor operations, workflow, and production schedulingExperience working cross functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, or EngineeringComfort working in an ERP system for scheduling and inventory. We use Made2Manage (M2M) and Shop Floor Manager (SFM), and we will train you on oursLeadership and skillsWillingness to have direct conversations, including the uncomfortable ones.
