    Why do we need you ?

    Production Supervisor

    Schedule: 2nd Shift 4:00pm-2:30am

    Actively lead safety and environmental initiatives to achieve world class performance.

    Knowledge of all production processes and equipment. Monitor performance of team. Develop action plans for training and people development for team. Lead and coach direct reports. Give leadership support to peers and to Site Manager as needed.

    Understand all production related documents (SOP's BOM's, Quality Standards, etc.) and help to keep them current and accurate.

    Drives continuous improvement.

    Manage operational metrics to acceptable levels in accordance with GMP & QSR requirements with a strong focus on safety. Responsible to lead, set expectations and all necessary reporting. Understand and execute role as a leader of production and role as a member of the site leadership team. Complete other related projects as assigned.

    Time on production floor - know processes and equipment. Monitors performance and achieve objectives related to Safety, Quality, Environmental, Efficiency, Timeliness and Cost Effectiveness of work within the production floor and meets on time delivery dates. Setting production personnel schedule.

    Manages Production Team directly

    Understands all production related documents and helps to keep them current and accurate. Responsible for the training, coaching and development of employees and documenting progress

    Drives Continuous Improvement and Safety Initiatives

    All else required by manager to help team reach performance goals.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor's Degree, Engineering or equivalent
    • Experience in supervision of production employees in a manufacturing environment
    • Safe and quality work ethic. Understand SOP's that relate to department activities. Aware of the Quality Policy Statement
    • Must have knowledge of materials and inventory control practices, production scheduling, and engineering in a manufacturing environment. Experience in an ISO environment and with WCM programs
    • Good analytical problem solving skills
    • Proficient in use of computers and spreadsheet software with experience with business systems (QAD, Kronos, Microsoft Office), and other computer hardware and software
    • Must have ability to manage performance, leadership skills, initiative, strong organizational and decision-making skills, team building and motivating skills, and a high degree of customer orientations
    • Must be a team player. Self-starter and meet commitments & deadlines with limited direct supervision
